Bass Lake, NC 

Bass Lake once powered a grist mill in Holly Springs, NC.  I can walk there from my home and take my dog there for walks many times with a camera on hand in case there's something interesting to shoot. 

A couple of years ago in the spring I saw a small area of water off to the side of the lake.  There was something about the that location that resulted in amazing reflections of the trees and sky.  A year and a half later later a hurricane changed the topography and that small area of water was gone.  I'm glad I captured the images when I did.

What I like about this series is that in many of the abstract images you can see things - a wine glass, a face, a peacock feather.  What do you see?
