Ocracoke Island, NC

The fall is a great time to be on the Outer Banks in NC, barring any hurricanes.  The Outer Banks is a string of barrier islands off the east coast of NC.  You can only get to Ocracoke on a ferry.  There's a small village that surrounds Silver Lake Harbor.  I enjoyed watching the the light, waves, clouds, and mooring pilings create beautiful textures and patterns in the water.
